Rang up to book a viewing on a golf, spoke to Joe. He sorted it straight away explained everything that would happen with covid rules, and how I couldn't test drive it but i was given 14 day period if I didn't like it I could return, they kept me all up date as to what was going on and what day and time I could pick it, very reliable, 100% recommend

Well I've always be apprehensive regarding car sales men/woman but I must say, my views have certainly changed since dealing with the guys at Elmtree. Honestly nothing was a problem , not pushy, no sleazy sales talk, just good old fashioned service. The Mrs bought an audi a3 sport from here and traded in her old car. Process from start to finish was so smooth. Great place with a massive choice of cars, there is literally something for everyone. The lads couldn't be more helpful from talking on the phone to face to face. There was a little issue with the heating matrix on the new car, within a week of reporting the issue they had the car in and fixed (under warranty). They said they couldn't guarantee a courtesy car but when we put the car in they had one for us. Great friendly and professional service and would highly recommend!

From the moment I phoned up to the moment I left the dealership with the keys to my new car another, the customer service was excellent. I cannot find a fault with any aspect of my experience with Elm Tree Car Sales. They made absolutely 100% sure that the car was in perfect working order and worth every penny I paid for it. Alloy wheels had been refurbished, the car was immaculate, 12 months MOT and no advisories. Couldn't be happier with my purchase. I would highly recommend!

1st class sales and picking up the car was made so easy. Everything was ready and prepared for when I arrived.
Living 130 miles away and arriving by train it was nice to be greeted with a friendly smile and hot coffee.
Aftersales service was excellent aswel. Had an issue and was sorted almost the same day as they arranged for the parts to be sent to my local garage and fitted without any issue or fuss.

Extensive range of cars for a range of budgets. Helpful, friendly and approachable dealership. Nothing is too much trouble. High quality photos of the cars available which in these weird times make choosing a car so much easier. They keep you fully up to date on all aspects of purchase until pickup. Despite having to conduct business online they're always available via telephone or email to answer any and all questions you may have about the car and purchase aspect. The service from start to finish was brilliant. I did have issues with the car after I bought it but the car came with a 3 month warranty. At no point did they moan or offer any excuses. "Just bring it in and we will sort it for you" they spend close to £2000 putting the car right with some major engine work needing doing and a turbo being replaced. Lee who delt with me during the the repair was brilliant. Nothing was too much trouble. You really can buy with confidence from here.

Edit 21/8/21 had the car for just over 2 years now. There was a slight issue with the car about 2 months after I bought it which the garage sorted out pretty quickly to be fair. Since then no issues and still running great now

I would not recommend this garage!!
Purchased a £12,000 car few weeks back, had problems with rear wheel as the centre wheel nut was not tightened I was on motorway and wheel was moving I had two toddlers in vehicle and asked for them to come collect the car to be told no I have to drive it to garage. It apparently had a service and MOT the day before I picked it up. Also to top it off ther was a oil leak I got told it would sort itself out I asked for a full refund.

Best car buying experience ever
We booked to view a car we saw on their website,we were met by Daran who showed as the car and we were allowed to take it for a test drive,the car was in excellent condition and drove really well.we said we would like to buy it and Daran went through what was going to happen through the process,we completed all the paper work and he said that the car would be prepared for us to collect with a full mot,he also said any advisory notes on the mot would be fixed before we collected it,this was at 4.30 pm,i got a call just after 2 pm the following day to say we could collect it at 4.30 pm.I have never experienced this sort of service in all my years of buying a car,it was so smooth and easy and would advise anyone looking for a car to look here 1st,you won't be disappointed,a very friendly and caring business,thankyou for everything

I bought a car from here a couple of months ago, found everyone who I dealt with was great and helpful, especially Bob with no pressure when looking at the cars. I did have an issue with the car and gave them a call, it was arranged to be dropped off within a couple a days which suited me and fixed same day with Lee keeping me up to date with what was happening. Excellent level of customer service, i usually judge a place on how they deal with a problem and this place was great. I would definately recommend this place to anyone.

I'm very happy with this dealership. I bought a first 500 for a fair price. After a few weeks the car developed a fault. It was taken back, provided with a car to use in the interim and fixed. Extremely pleased with my first visit to Elm Tree Showroom, Dunston. I was greeted with a warm welcome and instantly felt comfortable and at ease as this was my first experience buying a car. The salesman was well educated on all the cars available and was able to talk me through the finance options available for me without putting any pressure on me at all. Although I have very little knowledge on cars I was surprised at the vast range of vehicles, all priced generously. Good dealer, but room for improvement.
The car I bought had a flat tyre when I took it for a test drive. They promised i would be repaired before I recieved the car, however it was not and two days later the tyre was flat. To their credit, they repaired it free of charge. The car I bought also had slightly more miles on the clock than advertised. But overall, they were frendly and accomodaing and the car was ready within a cople of days. The prices are also very reasonable.

Bought a car from these guys a few weeks ago but held off writing a review. Picked the car up and could hear a slight grinding / scratching from the wheels. I asked my brother to take a look as he is mechanically minded but we looked all over and couldn't find the locking wheel nut :/

I phoned the garage and explained what had happened. Call down the garage I was told and we'll sort it out. I drove to the garage and the locking wheel nut couldn't be found :( the guy who I was with (Lee I think he was called) said not to worry drop the car in at any convenient time and they would fix the locking wheel nut problem. I mentioned the noise which was the reason for noticing and he said no problem I'll take a look at that too.

Dropped the car in as agreed 2 days later I phoned up to check how it was going. I was told it's ready now call down anytime to collect. I called down and asked what had been the issue to be told new brake pads, discs and callers had been fitted and it was clear to see this was true.

This is the first time I have ever used this garage but won't be the last safe in the knowledge the customer care is second to none.

Been looking for a car for a while now and decided to call into elm tree motors while passing through after visiting some others before.
Not one to review places but there was a lot of cars to look at so a salesman came over too me after about 5 mins surprised as they usually run at you. He was very friendly and not pushy as some can be. He was called Bob, he asked me what I was looking for and show me some decent cars. They are currently helping me setup some finance on a car I'm keen on and which I think I will get because they are giving me a good price on my old one.
I would recommend anyone who is looking for a new motor with any budget as they have a low/high price range on their cars to call in for a look they have friendly staff and even give you a cuppa with a biscuit hahaha.
I think it's the first time I ever been in a car dealership and never felt pressured to buy or test drive a car.
Wish I could but I can't fault this place.
Definitely worth a visit or even a phone call if you are looking for a particular motor

Seen and bought a Range Rover Sport from these guys a few weeks ago, I'd been looking for a long time and finally found the one that scratched my itch. One test drive later and a very good valuation on my trade in, I decided to buy it. All smooth running, no fuss. However the car developed a fault 3 weeks in, it felt like my girlfriend had cheated on me, so I rang the guys back Elm Tree and nothing was a problem, "bring it back and we'll have a look" - anyway, personal circumstances meant that I couldn't get the car back to them before the part gave in altogether and needed to be diagnosed by a local Land Rover specialist. Land Rover provided me with an estimate to fix, and Elm Tree Motors agreed to pay in full - no arguments. One happy customer and happy to recommend.
